Residents at AVS have a wonderful relationship with the community and are contracted to work for several local companies.  This contract work offers our residents the opportunity to earn a paycheck and learn about being in the work force.  Work is done at the Allegheny Valley School program centers with help from staff members.  Past projects have included sorting, folding, assembling and stapling a wide variety of mailings and products.  Our residents are always excited and ready to take on new contract work.  

Along with contract work, we also have several residents that hold jobs in the community.  These individuals work in restaurants, local stores and hold maintenance and landscaping positions.
